Yoshida: 2012 is too early for a vita price drop

SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida stated that the price will not go down this year. "It's too early," he said. Sony engineers are working on "cost reduction," which Yoshida said takes time. So now price reduction for the PS vita.

"At a certain point in the future we would like to address the pricing issue for some of the people who are waiting," Yoshida said.
