The Foefire: The Launch of Guild Wars 2 : Good Bad & Ugly

Launch: Oh god no, well at least it isn't Diablo 3

*sigh* Even with all this stress tests and betas, the launch of Guild Wars 2 was still sub-par. I guess this makes since as this is the biggest MMORPG in a long time, but seriously. Even now on the 29th (6th day) (yes I count the 9-12 on the 24th) there are still queues on the main servers. I constantly am forced to be on the overflow servers, and cant play with friends, due to the main servers being full. So, terrible queues, no playing with friends, but at least you can play! It gets worse though, there is still the queues not letting you play World vs World, and also the massive server imbalance. What can I say? Blackgate is pawning us over at Dragonbrand. However there is still the massive problem that me and my guild are facing: Lack of Trading post (auction house) due to it being under maintence.

Beside the problems, I have been really enjoying my time in Guild Wars 2. I am not so much doing PvP at the moment. I am mostly trying to find a good guild and server, and setting up my characters. I did some Personal Story, and questing, and got to level 15. My character is E Xeon Gutierrez, the Elementalist. Why E Xeon Gutierrez as opposed to Xeon Gutierrez? That is because of one HUGE issue I encountered with Guild Wars 2's launch. Apperantly EVERY SINGLE name is reserved. Yes that is exaggerating, but still a lot of names are reserved, including Xeon Gutierrez. Someone stole my name, and CS isn't answering and fixing the problem. So I am stuck with Xeon Gutierrez being reserved for some name stealer, yet not being used.

As for the BTXGames guild and server? I am currently in the server DRAGONBRAND. I am in someone elses guild, but I am still running the BTX guild on an alt. PM E Xeon Gutierrez on the Dragonbrand server, and I will get you in the guild. You can be in many GW2 guilds at once in Guild Wars 2. That is awesome.

Well, this has been the news on the Guild Wars 2 launch basically. Oh and Guild Wars 2 was a best seller.
