Command and Conquer Generals 2 will be F2P

CaC Generals 2 will be going Free To Play as part of a new serise of Free to Play Command and Conquer games. There is already one F2P CaC game - Tiberium Alliances, but it isnt really a main Command and Conquer game, and is rather sub-par. Generals 2 is the first of the new line of F2P cac games. It will launch next year, but beta sign ups begin today.

Unlike Tiberium Alliances, this is set to be a full-on C&C game, with elements like destructive terrain, physics, and multiple factions.
