Opinion: Command and Conquer- Tiberium Twilight

CaC 4. Everybody hates it. Why? Because of CoD. Yes, a CoD rant again. CoD never changes, so why should anything else!? A game that hasn't changed for 16 years now, CaC was one of the first RTS games ever. It pioneered the genre along with smash hit titles like SC1 vanilla. So how did it go "downhill" so quickly? Here is why- the developers tried to change it. *GASP* Yes, that is correct. Instead of continuing with the tried and tested generic RTS stuff, (Which was fine, considering the original CaC was the game that made recourse gathering and kill-the-base generic) they actually tried to change something! Instead of destroying the enemy base, the player now has a mobile base, called a crawler, and only 70 units. Several structures, (Bunkers, Turrets, Tunnels, ect.) and a lot of upgrades like shields and new tiers of units. Your objective? To capture more points on the map than your opponent. The points gave you victory credits, which allowed you to win. Sure, the single player was terrible, but nobody cared. They ruined the cannon, but it was so mixed up with Red Alert and Generals that it didn't even matter anymore. Everybody hates this game anyway. And to them, I say screw you.
