Paragon Studios Closing, City of Heroes shutting down

NCSoft have shut down Paragon Studios, developers of City of Heroes. Due to this City of Heroes is shutting down. NCsoft gave this reason for the closures: "realignment of company focus and publishing support."
Community manager Andy Belford says that the superhero MMO will shut down before the end of the year, and recurring billing (as well as Paragon Market purchasing) will be discontinued immediately.

City of Heroes originally launched in 2004 as the world's first superhero MMORPG. Belford goes on to say that more information will be forthcoming over the next few weeks, including a firm cessation date as well as "what you can expect in game."

This means a couple things.
1. Many people are losing jobs, and many fans are losing 8 years of their life. This sucks.
2. NCsoft may not be doing that well in terms of money
3. There is a big risk of other NCsoft products shutting down, including Guild Wars 2 and Wildstar.
4. They will probbably not end up the next Activision Blizzard, in terms of keeping games up, and in terms of money, despite having Guild Wars 2.

This is really sad, and I feel for any City of Heroes players.
