Opinion: SC2 Heart of The Swarm is not worth the money

Stealing money from consumers everywhere

Starcraft 2 Heart of The Swarm has the worst buisness model, is worse then EA, and is not worth the money. If it was done by anyone else other then Blizzard there would be outrage.

For those of you who dont know, Starcraft 2 Heart of The Swarm is an expansion to the 60$ Starcraft 2. HOTS cost 40$, and is basicly required to compete in SC2. So so far 100$ spent on Starcraft 2. This will eventually become 160$ with Legacy of the Void. This is using Standard edition by the way, It costs more with Collectors. It is really expensive for one RTS. What does HOTS include though? Are you getting anything beyond a card saying, "You can continue playing?"

Starcraft 2 HOTS:
1 Campaign focusing on the worst race- Zerg.
about 3 new units for each race.
Some balance changes
Some UI changes.

That is it. Barring the campaign (which should have been included at launch, or been 10$ DLC) everything here can just be a patch. They are charging 40$ for a few changes, that should be in a patch, and a few units. Oh and continuing being competetive. Really. Really Blizzard? Patch 1.5.0 added more content then HOTS will.

This is such a rip-off. If ANY other company did this, there would be outrage. If EA offered more then this for 40$ on C&C G2, there would be outrage. But no, this is Blizzard, this is Stacraft so everyone is fine.
Really? Is the gaming community that stupid? Are they that lenient to constant abusive buisness models by companys? Are we just going to be quiet while companys steal our money?

The best RTS out, before the HOTS X-Pac

I love Starcraft 2, but Heart of The Swarm is such an abusive buisness decicion, I will be boy-cotting this expansion. It goes against morals, it goes against principles, it goes against everything I as a gamer stand for. I will boycott HoTs, and recommend everyone do so as well.

I know some people will fall for this trap, and Blizzard will still be rich of HoTS. Anyone who buys HOTS, not on sale, is just letting companys run over us, and take our wallets.  They are the enemy.

Well I will boycott HOTS, but I will still play Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty. Standard SC2 is awesome.

Oh and it focuses on Zerg, that makes this X-Pac even worse ;)
