PlayZ: RaiderZ Mini Review Levels 1-5

Over this weekend, I got a chance to participate in the RaiderZ stress test. For those who dont know, RaiderZ is a free to play Action MMORPG developed by Maiet and published by Perfect World Entertainment. Other then a lot of problems with freezing and Game Guard (its a early beta...) it was really fun. Its combat system is really good, I say Guild Wars 2's is better, but RaiderZ has really good combat. Some people have said it is a free to play Terra. I would agree. I think it is better then Tera though.

I started of with RaiderZ with 3 errors. Stupid GameGuard. Once I finnaly got in, I went to the character creation. Side note: RaiderZ has REALLY good music. Anyway, there are no races other than human. Im fine with that, that is the way Guild Wars 1 was. At the character custimization I rapidly realize this is a Korean MMO. It has a Western spin though, and isnt as bad and grindy as a korean MMO. It is basicly Western. It is almost like a Monster Hunter MMO actually.

I have to pick my Style now. Style is basicly class. RaiderZ does do classes really diffrent however. The "classes" really are just your spells from level 1-11. While there are Cleric, Sorcerrer, Berserker, and I think one more, You can use spells from any class past level 11. (Back in CBT I got a Sorcerer-Cleric mix to level 13. Ah the memories of getting the materials to make a mount at lower then usual level.) Anyway, yes the classes are just starting abilitys, which is fine.

I said, getting a mount at a lower then usual level. How did I do this? With one of RaiderZ's awesome features. In RaiderZ, while things are sort of gear based, it is also really skill, and friend based. There is action combat. There is dodging. If you are skilled enough, you can kill things up to maybey 10 levels higher then you. Yes, gear and levels are still important to a point. So yah, I am really good at MMORPG's. Also I needed a friend. The enemys that needed to be killed to get the materials for the mount (a Moa) were hard. So I brought along Sebastian. The Motto of RaiderZ is: Hunt Together or Die Alone. I brought Sebastian, and with both of us skilled, we got the mount. It is usually for level 15+, but we got it at level 9.

Oh and the Action Combat? If you aim at specific parts of enemys, parts of them drop off, and you can use it as a weapon. The combat in RaiderZ is SO GOOD!

Ugh at this point two things are happening. One it is a two parter, two it is almost like a review.
